I suppose the only perks that come from deployments are the gifts you get brought to you..hehe.
One of my favorites that my husband brought back from Korea was this super cool poncho/shawl/scarf thing. I love all different ways you can wear it due to the added buttons and it's sooo comfy.
I thought hmmm.. I want to make a mini version!
It was so easy. I just bought a $1 fleece adult scarf, cut holes and attached buttons.
I thought the vintage buttons complimented it very nicely.
I just so happened to lose my button hole attachment for my sewing machine, but it was no biggie.
I just hand stitched around holes I cut. Fleece doesn't fray anyway just stretches a bit.I thought it was missing something so I just cut strips on the bottom for that fringe look.
I was gonna wait and stuff it in her stocking as a gift, but its so darn cute and chilly outside!
Now we're twinkies:)
Sooo easy and looks so cute on my baby doll! Now gonna go make one for my older dolly:)
Would make a great gift!
Thanks for stopping by!
*hugs*

DeleteThat's the cutest! Oh, I want a twinkie one day! Boys rock, too, but a mama's gotta have a girl in the bunch.
ReplyDeleteI love my dollies, but man am I dreading the teenage years! lol ;)
DeleteI love it! Perfect for a cooler day to make a little princess feel all grown up! And your model is precious!

ReplyDeleteIt is very cute! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is great and cute and easy! I won't make it for my sister though. The last time I made them fleece scarves, they ended up in the next yard sale, lol
