Guilt Free Pan Dulce

As you already know from this post we are huge lovers of pan dulce or sweet bread.
Its an occasional breakfast treat that's fluffy and lightly sweetened.

One day I took out my polymer clay and let the girls have at it and I decided to try to make these mini treats of heaven:)

They didn't take long at all to recreate I just played with a few different shapes.

So cute!

Friends and family loved them and want me to send them some:)

I want to stick these little charms everywhere!

Super fun craft.
Its like a little piece of San Antonio.

A little bit of lace.

Awhile back I scored a huge bag of vintage lace and trimmings for 2 bucks!

Its been sitting there waiting for me to embellish, wrap, or create something. So one afternoon I busted my lace collection out. Here's what I did:

It was so fast and easy I had to make some for my dollies:)

with the thin ones I sewed two together for a different look:

They are so cute..love em!

Fast Easy Earrings

I don't know if it's because I've lost them all or I really have not been purchasing any, but I cannot find one single pair of earrings. For some reason I never really wore rings or bracelets. I used to wear necklaces, but ever since I had kiddos I just completely avoid wearing them because they thought pulling them was the best thing in the world! So since I've become a earring wearing kinda gal it  was time to make me some new earrings:)

I decided to bust out my button collection from this post and start making me some new earrings fast. This took about 20 minutes or as long as my kiddos snack time to complete.

First I poured out all my buttons and matched the pairs I thought would look best.

Then I hot glued them to these earring posts I picked up at Honks for a buck! But before I glued them I painted them with clear nail polish. My ears are sooo sensitive and I remembered this tip that a jeweler once told me.

That was it, easy as pie. I love the vintage look of these babies.

I'm ready to make about 5 more pairs from my treasure of buttons :)

Vintage Red Apron

After cleaning and organizing my sad, little kitchen a while back I realized that I don't own a decent apron. I have like 2 aprons my mom gave me, but they are torn and only cover my lap and aren't really practical I usually just let my little one wear it when we bake.
Anywhoo so I decided to just make one myself. Of course I wanted it to be red since I explained in this post to match.  I scored like 2 yards of this cute vintage fabric at Savers for just $1.99! Yep it sooo came home with me!

close up of fabric

I kinda just winged it as I went along:

-I cut a square for my chest
-cut a rectangle for my lap
-cut to long straps( one for neck, one for waist ties)
-cut a little square for a pocket
-hemmed all pieces separately
-assembled to my liking

sorry the pix are so fuzzy, my camera needs batteries so i had to use my hubbys camera phone

That was it! I love the print so much! Why do cute aprons make you happy? I don't mind cooking anymore...well not as much;)

Crochet Headband

Have you seen all the lovely crochet headbands everywhere? Aren't they lovely? So romantic and sweet...

I've been wanting one for a while so I thought why not make one myself? I had a shirt that a friend of mine gave me with crocheted piece in the back, but I lost some of my baby weight recently and the shirt is too big now and its too pretty to get rid of.

A light bult went off and I got my supplies together....

I cut out my desired crocheted piece and sewed it to the piece of felt.

glued it to the headband.

and voila finished!

Cameo Clippie

I heart making clippies for my girls. Its so much fun dressing up my lil dollies!  I noticed my oldest was overdue for a new one to add to her collection. A few weeks back I picked up these cute cameo rubber bands at Dollar Tree. I thought they were too pretty just to be alone on a plain black rubber band.

So I disassembled the hair tie from the cameo and hot glued it to a pretty soft white flower that I also picked up at the dollar store. Then attached to an alligator clippie. That's it! A soft, feminine hair clip that makes my little girl smile:)
