I don't know if it's because I've lost them all or I really have not been purchasing any, but I cannot find one single pair of earrings. For some reason I never really wore rings or bracelets. I used to wear necklaces, but ever since I had kiddos I just completely avoid wearing them because they thought pulling them was the best thing in the world! So since I've become a earring wearing kinda gal it was time to make me some new earrings:)
I decided to bust out my button collection from this post and start making me some new earrings fast. This took about 20 minutes or as long as my kiddos snack time to complete.
First I poured out all my buttons and matched the pairs I thought would look best.
Then I hot glued them to these earring posts I picked up at Honks for a buck! But before I glued them I painted them with clear nail polish. My ears are sooo sensitive and I remembered this tip that a jeweler once told me.
That was it, easy as pie. I love the vintage look of these babies.
I'm ready to make about 5 more pairs from my treasure of buttons :)

Those are super fab! I love the vintage look. And that is a great tip about sensitive ears! I'll have to try it. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you for the sensitive ears tip! I need that for both of my girls!!
Thank you for the tip on the clear nail polish! I have incredibly sensitive ears, too, and can't wear a lot of cute earrings. Yay! Your button collection is fabulous, as well, and they look great as earrings.
