Front Porch Facelift

Now that warmer temps have decided to grace Utah with its presence I thought my front porch was lookin' a bit drab.
I scored these 2 wicker patio chairs off the curb that my old neighbors were throwing out. Like I mentioned in an earlier post people on base are frequently tossing objects to the street due to switching stations and such.
I got another eye roll from the hubby because they were sun bleached and a few wicker strands were broken, but I knew a little cleaning and spray paint would bring them back to life:)

First I washed them with warm, soapy water from a spray bottle. Then let it dry and cut any stray strands of wicker. Finally I sprayed 2 coats of an almond like color.

another after shot:

yes those are my sad little recycle bins which need new labels
And if you're wondering about those cheery pillows I made them out of this:

a plastic tablecloth for 1.99 from Michael's
I just cut two squares, sewed right sides together, flipped, inserted pillow and stitched the bottom. Now I have "waterproof" patio pillows:)

Every time I come home  I'm greeted by our new cheery porch!
Thanks for stopping by:)
