Utah Latina Bloggers Conference

Oh my goodness I had one of best times that I've ever had in a really long time yesterday. I was invited by the gorgeous Dennissa from Denny on the Spot to attend the first annual Utah Latina Bloggers Conference. I was so honored to even be invited to a bloggers conference because I have never been to one! I've seen photos from other bloggers all over the nation attend these and never dreamt of being able to go to one. Then to find out that that I would be among other latinas just like little ol' me was just that much more amazing!
Utah is the second state with the largest amount of bloggers and latinas fall in a very small percentile. We are very rare, but oh my goodness sooo inspiring! I was surrounded by beautiful, creative, strong, and independent latinas. Everyone was so warm and encouraging and I'm so happy I was able to attend.

Ikea, doTerra, Texas Roadhouse, and Candle Warmers Etc were just a few of the awesome sponsors for the event.  We also had some rockstars as guest speakers such as Jyl Johnson Pattee from Mom it forward who gave an really good speech on how to be influential and unique with your blog.
And humanitarian speaker, Kristin Wardle Sokol from The Vocal Sokal. She was the sweetest woman ever who has a heart of gold helping migrant workers who don't really have a voice.
Oh my goodness but, Dr. Jose Enriquez, founder of Latinos in Action, just had me in awe. His speech was so moving and motivational. He founded this amazing program that is currently running in 54 schools with about 1,800 latinos. They teach leadership, creativity, and bilingualism. The whole time he was speaking I just kept thinking I wish I had that type of program growing up that taught me such empowerment and connected me to my roots.

These gorgeous dolls were our beauty and fashion bloggers. Marisol from A Rebelle's Style Memoirs had some pretty awesome beauty tips!

We snagged some fun goodie bags and I won this Ikea Kitchen cart in the raffle! I felt my face getting red when I heard my name called. I have been drooling over this cart since I saw it in the catalog! Trust me I WILL be posting a pic soon of this beauty and how I'm currently using it:o)

This was just the first Latinas conference for Utah and I know it will continue to  grow from here.
It felt so amazing to meet these women and to feel special for a day. I heard some awesome speeches, soaked in some really good advice, ate well, won a prize, but most importantly made some really good friends who I can relate to.

I want to again thank everyone and I will be posting a few links below of some of these women you must check out! Support Latinas ;)!

oh yeah one more thing...I will having my FIRST giveaway soon so stay posted!

*hugs*
